There is a gate that consists of two cones about 5 meters from the center line. Two defenders defend in the area between the cones, while three attackers try to get through the goal with the ball. The rule states that the attackers must carry the ball through the goal; a pass across the “goal line” is not allowed. Once the attackers have gone through the gate, it becomes a normal 3-on-2 attack. After the action, two of the attackers switch to defense. The defenders walk in a line in the middle of the field.
For the attackers, an open posture is important in order to use the full width of the playing field and to pursue the goal of reaching the level of “wingers.” The right timing allows attackers to create a 2-on-1 situation after going through the goal. The ball leading attacker should try to make room for the other attackers by moving with the ball and drawing the wingers closer.
There could be a rule that attackers must switch positions before trying to get through the gate.
The gate is widened.
The door is reduced in size.
